The Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition (APP2025) is set to wrap up with a bang, as the highly anticipated APP Street Party moves to the final night of the event for the first time, with Sunday trading no longer occurring.

This year’s Street Party theme, ‘Country Hoedown’ promises a lively celebration, with APP2025 Conference Chairman Kos Sclavos AM encouraging attendees to join in the fun.

“The APP Street Party is the perfect chance to unwind, network, and celebrate with industry friends after a busy few days of learning,” says Mr Sclavos.

“The ‘Country Hoedown’ theme has generated a lot of excitement, and we expect tickets to sell out quickly.”

Something for everyone

Held at The Star Gold Coast, the party will span two venues.

The Ballroom will feature live music, line dancing, and a headline performance from Furnace & Fundamentals.

Meanwhile, the Marquee will offer a more relaxed atmosphere with acoustic tunes interactive games, and a photo booth.

Tickets include a buffet dinner, a signature cocktail on arrival, and a 5-hour drinks package.

With one week to go until APP2021, pharmacy assistants are encouraged not to miss out on the event – a conference not just for pharmacists but for all in the industry, including pharmacy assistants.

With a trade exhibition showcasing the latest supplier and exhibitor updates and freebies, along with a comprehensive four-day educational program featuring more than 100 industry, business, clinical and motivational speakers, what better way to learn and network and share experiences from the last 12 unprecedented months.

“From a keynote address by The Hon Greg Hunt MP, Federal Minister for Health and Aged Care, to the famous Street Party to bumping elbows with legendary sporting starts – APP2021 has it all for pharmacy assistants,” says APP Convenor and former Guild National President, Kos Sclavos AM.

“Attendees will get to meet the 2020 and 2019 Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year (PATY) Award National Winners, Benjamin Kind and Brianne Lowe (pictured), at a special information session on Friday 21 May.

“Pharmacy assistants can also enjoy the jam-packed social program, which includes the Welcome Reception and famous Street Party.

“Welcome Reception access is free for pharmacy assistants, so ensure you make the most of this opportunity to network with suppliers while enjoying dinner and drinks,” he says.

Mr Sclavos adds that pharmacy assistants have also been given “certainty around any disruptions to plans that may come out of Covid-19”.

“If attendees can’t travel due to Covid-19, they’re able to get full refunds,” says Mr Sclavos.

“We’re excited to see you next week. I’d hate for any pharmacy assistants to miss out on the fantastic program, sold-out trade and networking opportunities.”
