Nagraj Iyer has been appointed as Haleon’s new Marketing Director for Australia and New Zealand.

Having 15 years’ experience with the consumer health company in a variety of leadership roles across sales, strategy and marketing in regions including North Asia, Singapore and India, Mr Iyer has a proven track record in delivering significant results, growth and development.

In his most recent role as Marketing Director for North Asia, Mr Iyer successfully led the team through a robust business turnaround, delivering strong financial results while also driving talent growth and development.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role with Haleon Australia and New Zealand leading the marketing of many trusted household brands such as Panadol, Voltaren, Advil, Sensodyne, Centrum and Polident to name but a few,” Mr Iyer said.

“With a strong focus on innovation and people development, I am committed to building on Haleon’s success and delivering sustainable growth for our brands and customers in this exciting region.”

Congratulating Mr Iyer on his appointment, Anish Patel, General Manager, Haleon Australia and New Zealand added that his “global perspective and wealth of experience will be instrumental” to the company’s continued success.

“We know that Australian and New Zealand health consumers are some of the most sophisticated in the world,” Mr Patel said.

“Through our iconic brands, scale and talent, we have the potential to transform the self-care industry in this market and deliver more for consumers and our customers.”

Mr Iyer succeeds Cate Sefton, who has been Marketing Director for Haleon Australia and New Zealand for the past five years and has worked at Haleon for a total of 21 years across two tenures.

Haleon has expressed gratitude for Ms Sefton’s invaluable contributions and wished her success in her future endeavours as she pursues new opportunities.

Reckitt Hygiene ANZ has appointed Florence Paoli as Marketing Director for Australia and New Zealand to oversee the business’s successful consumer hygiene portfolio.

“I can already see that the Reckitt Hygiene team in ANZ has big ambitions to continue creating products and campaigns that address everyday challenges or help solve issues that impact our communities,” Ms Paoli said, speaking about the opportunity to join the high-performing team. 

“I am impressed by the impact achieved to date via local activation including the Glen 20 partnership with Meals on Wheel donating 50,000 hygiene kits to vulnerable Australians.”

Speaking about opportunities for the Hygiene industry in Australia and New Zealand, Ms Paoli says embracing the challenge to keep up with our ever-evolving digital landscape is at the forefront of her strategy for 2023.

“I’m looking forward to working with the team to strengthen Reckitt’s digital capabilities, finding effective strategies to leverage the channels where our consumers are spending most of their time, to create a meaningful conversation with our brands,” she said.

‘Thrilled to have Florence join the leadership team’

Reckitt Hygiene ANZ Regional Director, Oliver Tatlow, says Ms Paoli has already carried her trademark considered approach to the marketing team, leveraging her performance coaching experience to enable those around her to be the best version of themselves.

“We are thrilled to have Florence join our leadership team, and are excited to see her take our team from strength to strength,” Mr Tatlow said. 

“Not only has Florence brought her global expertise to this role, but also a genuine dedication to supporting the culture of people and purpose-led performance, which we’re so proud of here at Reckitt.

“We have big ambitions across the Hygiene portfolio and Florence has the focus and commitment required to lead us into next year as we strive to create a cleaner, healthier world for our consumers.”

A passion for building purpose-led brands

Ms Paoli replaces Saurabh Jain, who after two years as Reckitt Hygiene’s ANZ Marketing Director has returned to his native India to continue his career with Reckitt as Regional Marketing Director & SPOC, South Asia.

Ms Paoli commenced working with the ANZ team in March 2022, adding to her already decade-long career at Reckitt, across both its Hygiene and Health business units in various global and local roles.

Most recently she was Global Brand Marketing Manager for Harpic, leading the sanitation innovation globally.

Through her tenure at Reckitt, she has developed a genuine passion for building purpose-led brands that have positive impacts on societal issues.

Her immediate immersion into Reckitt Hygiene’s local efforts of brands like Finish, Glen20 and Air Wick, has provided her with an exciting first few months in the role.

SAURABH JAIN TO BUILD RB HYGIENE BRANDS AS ANZ MARKETING DIRECTOR

Reckitt Benckiser (RB) today confirms the appointment of Saurabh Jain as the company’s Marketing Director in Australia and New Zealand, to oversee its consumer hygiene portfolio.

Saurabh joins from within the company, previously leading strategic and creative marketing activity for RB’s disinfection portfolio. Boasting more than 14 years of blue-chip experience, Saurabh has enjoyed five years at RB and before that held roles at other major FMCG and retail companies such as ITC Limited and Amazon. Passionate about bringing brands to life, his marketing experience spans personal care, surface care, food and fashion.

Speaking about his new appointment, Saurabh Jain said: “I am thrilled to join RB Hygiene in Australia and New Zealand, bringing my learnings and insights from wider markets to the team.

“Our RB Hygiene brands continue to lead the way in innovation, and our partnerships and initiatives all ladder up to our vision for creating a cleaner world. I’m looking forward to working with the team to deliver purpose-led campaigns that not only showcase our product innovation, but also RB’s commitment to addressing big societal issues from water scarcity, through to germ-related illnesses.”

In his new role, Saurabh will be responsible for building RB Hygiene brands, which are aimed at eliminating dirt, germs, pests and odours. These brands, well-known amongst consumers in Australia and New Zealand, include: Pine O Cleen, Glen 20, Harpic, Easy-Off Bam, Mortein, Finish, Vanish, and Air Wick.

Saurabh Jain replaces Arnaud Sudre, who after two years as RB Hygiene’s ANZ Marketing Director is assuming a new role within the global RB business.

Saurabh commenced in his new role from 1 May 2020 and is currently operating from India. Once COVID- 19 travel bans are lifted, he will relocate to Sydney, Australia.
